The kitten is holding his own, though he has a worrying problem of elimination. I am treating him as the vet advised, and just keeping my fingers crossed. He's such a dear little thing, so lively, and he deserves to make it. As you can see, I have given him a surrogate sibling, so he has something to cuddle up to when his flighty mum is out of the nest!

Le chaton tient le coup pour l'instant, malgré un problème préoccupant d'élimination. Je le soigne d'après les consignes de son vétérinaire - et je tiens les pouces. C'est un petit trésor, très vif, et il mérite de s'en sortir. Comme vous pouvez le constater, je lui ai donné un "frère" pour lui tenir compagnie pendant les longs moments où sa frivole maman est hors du nid!

Wee Jock, Merry et al

News of Wee Jock McFeegle, aka Diego, in his new home. He's doing very well and, as you can see, is a really handsome chap!
His tiny sibling, being bottle-fed because Audrey has no milk, is holding his own. We can but hope.
Tora is a father again, Pepita has started having her kittens: there are three so far, one Cream, one Blue, one White, so excellent news!
Also re Tora: he did well at the show in Moudon. Obtained his certificates with no trouble, plus two BIV's and two Nominations. I hope to take him to Italy mid-April to complete his first grand European title.

Nouvelles de Wee Jock McFeegle, dit Diego, dans sa nouvelle maison. Il va très bien et, comme on peut le voir, devient très beau!
Son minuscule frère, au biberon puisqu'Audrey n'a pas du tout de lait, tient le coup pour l'instant - on ne peut qu'espérer.
Tora est de nouveau papa depuis ce soir. Il y en a trois en tous cas - un Crème, un Bleu, un Blanc, donc excellente nouvelle!
Encore Tora: il a bien réussi son expo à Moudon; il a obtenu ses titres sans problème, avec 2x BIV et 2x Nomination. J'espère l'emmener en Italie à la mi-avril, pour terminer son premier titre de Grand Champion d'Europe

For the second day running, the little one has gained 20 grammes overnight. We are really optimistic now! Audrey is serene, and doesn't seem to feel any discomfort when the kitten suckles.

Pour le deuxième jour consécutif, la petite a mis 20 grammes pendant la nuit. Nous sommes très optimistes! Audrey est sereine, et ne semble pas du tout inconfortable quand le chaton tête.

Improvement/Amélioration

It looks as if the milk has come in - at midnight, the baby was 102 gr - this morning, without waking me once during the night, she weighed 112! Fingers crossed....

On dirait que la montée du lait a bien eu lieu. A minuit, le bb pesait 102gr - ce matin, sans me réveiller une fois pendant la nuit, elle pesait 112gr! On tient les pouces...

Update/Dernières Nouvelles

The little Brown Tabby didn't make it, unfortunately. She slipped away during the first night. Her Chocolate Tabby sister, much more robust, is doing well so far, in spite of the fact that Audrey has no milk yet. She wouldn't take the bottle at first, but now she slurps it up like a little vacuum cleaner!
La petite Brown Tabby n'a malheureusement pas passé le cap de la première nuit. Sa soeur, Chocolate Tabby, est plus robuste et tient bien le coup, malgré le fait qu'Audrey n'ait pas encore de lait. Elle faisait la difficile au début pour prendre le biberon - mais maintenant, elle y va comme un petit aspirateur!

New Kittens/Nouveaux Chatons

Audrey has had her kittens at last - by Caesarian Section. One was undeveloped, so could not survive, but the other two are fine, after an anxious few hours while they recovered from the anaesthetic. There is a Brown Tabby and a Chocolate Tabby, like Rob and Wee Jock from the last litter, but I think these are both females. Audrey isn't too happy at the moment - she's probably feeling sore and a bit disoriented, and isn't yet taking much notice of her babies. That will come!
Audrey a finalement eu ses chatons, par césarienne. Un ne s'était pas développé suffisamment pour survivre, mais les deux autres vont bien, maintenant qu'ils se sont remis de la narcose. Il y a un(e) Brown Tabby et un(e) Chocolat Tabby, comme Rob et Wee Jock de la dernière portée, mais je crois que ce sont 2 femelles cette fois. Audrey est un peu perturbée - je pense qu'elle a un peu mal, maintenant qu'elle est bien réveillée, et ne s'intéresse pas trop à ses bébés pour le moment. Cela viendra!

Championnats /Championships CCG 2006

Excellent news for our cattery, now that the results for 2006 are out! We came third in the Breeders' List; Tora is Best Junior Male SH, and 7th Best Cat All-breed. His sire, PamPam is 2nd of the Best Studs, and his dear little mum, our Eur.Ch. & TICA Ch. Môr Harlech LIKE AN ANGEL is:
BEST BREEDING QUEEN OF 2006!
A more than satisfactory result for us, and for our beautiful cats.

Tora got his third CAGCE in France last weekend. One more in a fourth country (probably Germany), and he will have completed his European Grand Champion title - and Angel will qualify for an EDM- like her dam and both maternal grandparents before her!

Other news: we are waiting for Audrey to give birth, after a scare last Friday. She is due any time from tomorrow up to next Tuesday. She's been fine since the upset , so we're cautiously optimistic for her and for live, healthy kittens.

Branwen's pregnancy is confirmed - she should give birth near the beginning of April. Tora is the father in both cases of course.

Bonne nouvelle pour notre chatterie dans les résultats du Cat Club pour 2006: nous sommes 3ème dans la liste des meilleurs élevages; Tora est meilleur Mâle Junior PC, et 7ème Meilleur Chat Toutes Races; son père, PamPam, est 2ème Meilleur Etalon, et sa chère maman, notre Ch.Eur. & Ch TICA Môr Harlech LIKE AN ANGEL est:

Meilleure Reproductrice 2006 - comme sa maman Beatrice en 2000, et sa grand-maman Fairisle en 1997.

Autres nouvelles: nous attendons la mise-bas d'Audrey à partir de demain. Elle nous a fait un peu peur vendredi passé, mais c'était une fausse alerte.

La grossesse de sa demie-soeur, Branwen, est confirmé: ce sera pour le début avril.
Le papa dans les deux cas est Tora.
