This is what I saw when I got home from shopping today: my Cobber (aged 13) with four great-grand-daughters. Adorable aren't they!

Voici ce que j'ai vu en rentrant de courses aujourd'hui: mon Cobber (13 ans) avec quatre de ses arrières petites-filles - attendrissant, non?

Tora did extremely well at the show this weekend. On Saturday, CAGCI, BIV and Nomination Best In Show. Five shorthair males were nominated, and there was a 3-way tie between him, a Bengal and an Egyptian Mau. The judge-arbiter chose the Bengal, a magnificent specimen!

On Sunday, CAGCI, 3 nominated - Tora, the Mau and a different Bengal: Tie between Tora and the Mau, but this time the judge-arbiter chose Tora, holding him up and presenting him to the public, saying: "You won't often see a Scottish Fold of this calibre!" Our boy then went on to win the Best of Best SH!

On Sunday, instead of a Best General judgement (as was held on the Saturday, between the BOBs Longhair, Semi-Long and Shorthair), they held a Best Supreme for the whole weekend, with the six BOB's from both days. After the initial vote, only Tora and the Maine Coon remained. The MC was a staggeringly beautiful Brown-Blotched-Tabby/White male, and he won - which made Tora the second most beautiful cat of the entire weekend!

Our young lad's spetacular success laid a little balm on the grief of parting with Katie and Silvina on the Saturday afternoon.

Tora a eu une très belle expo à Aix-en-Provence ce weekend: le samedi, il a fait son 1er CAGCI, avec BIV et Nomination Best in Show. 5 mâles PC étaient nominés; après un premier vote, il restait Tora, un Bengal et un Mau - le juge arbitre a choisi le Bengal, un superbe Marbré aux tons très chauds.

Le dimanche, Tora a fait le 2ème CAGCI, et, au Best in Show, il y avait 3 nominés: Le Mau et Tora de nouveau, et un autre Bengal. Egalité entre Tora et le Mau, mais cette fois, le juge-arbitre a désigné Tora, qu'il a montré au public en disant. "Voici un Fold comme on en voit rarement!" Pour comble de bonheu, notre garçon s'est également vu attribué le Best of Best PC!

Au lieu d'un Best Général, comme on avait fait le samedi, ils ont fait un Best Suprême, entre les 6 BOB des deux jours. Après un premier vote, il ne restait que Tora et un superbe Maine Coon. Ce dernier a gagné le Best Suprême - ce qui faisait de Tora le 2ème plus beau chat de l'expo!

Ces beaux résultats ont mis un peu de baume sur un coeur bien meurti par le départ de Katie et de Silvina le samedi.

Expo/Show Epinal, 10.09.06

Tora is now an International Champion, with a Best in Variety and a Nomination for Best in Show! He was much admired by visitors and other Fold breeders, and his judge thought he was superb! Branwen, rather thin after her precocious shenanigans, came second to her litter-sister Brigitte Bardot - who is comically like Branwen in character! They have the same slightly raucous permanent chattiness, the same sweet, purry, cuddly nature. Brigitte has a lot more red in her coat than Audrey does, and is considerably heavier, at the moment - but Branwen will catch up in time!

Tora est devenu Champion International à Epinal, avec Best Variété et Nomination au Best in Show. Il a été très admiré, par le public et par les autres éleveurs de Fold, et son juge l'a trouvé superbe! Branwen , un peu maigrichonne après ses indiscretions avec Tora, était 2ème après sa soeur de portée, Brigitte Bardot , qui est plus lourde et a beaucoup plus de roux dans son mélange écaille. Elles ont le même caractère attachant, toutes les deux de petites commères , qui bavardent d'une petite voix rauque - affectueuses et câlines comme tout!

Kittens leaving/Des chatons partent

Big day today, and again tomorrow: WEXFORD and APPLEBY go to their new homes this evening (where they are eagerly awaited!) and tomorrow morning, it will be the turn of CADFAEL and ADELA.

MAUDIE (Shalimar & Xandor); ALBERT & PETER (Angel & Xandor)

Grand jour aujourd'hui, et encore demain: WEXFORD et APPLEBY partent ce soir dans leurs nouvelles familles, où ils sont attendus avec impatience - et demain matin, ce sera le tour de CADFAELet ADELA.

Show this Sunday, in EPINAL (France) - and we'll have the pleasure of seeing Audrey and Branwen's breeder, our friend Sophie with some of her beautiful cats. The following weekend, we are going to a two-day show at AIX-EN-PROVENCE. Tora and Branwen will be competing in both shows.
Katie and Silvina will come with us to Aix, where their new families will come to fetch them.

Expo ce dimanche à EPINAL (France) - et nous aurons le plaisir d'y rencontrer l'éleveuse d'Audrey et de Branwen, notre amie Sophie, avec quelques uns de ses beaux chats. Le weekend suivant, nous avons une expo double à, AIX-EN-PROVENCE. Tora and Branwen sont inscrits aux deux expos.
Katie and Silvina nous accompagneront à Aix, où leurs nouvelles familles viendront les chercher.
